Error in TeX symbols in displayed plot

I understand that, but I could not find a way to force the fontsize to be
10 for text within ^{...}.  Only fontsize 10 works for TeX conversion, and
there is an "automatic" fontsize change within ^{...}. (By "automatic" I 
mean
I could not find how or where this is done.

Do you have a better suggestion of how to correct the fact that TeX 
conversion
does not work for ^{...} or _{...}?

If there are no other choices, I would tend to prefer not allowing font size
changes in "enhanced" more.
