The load() function is intended to be compatible with Matlab. Octave's
documentation is an area many individuals contribute to ... if you are
inclined, they could use more help :-)
All the development of Octave is by volunteers. The volunteers
contribute in the areas they are most interested in seeing improved.
You, or anyone else, would be a welcomed as a contributer.
