Whose habit? My coding never produced a warning. Some compilers did,
sometimes, compiling my code. I always examined the warning and the
offending code closely to decide whether a change is appropriate, but
I decided upon logic.
Changing a correct and crystally clear code just to avoid a warning
issued by a certain compiler using certain flags seems to me, well,
... useless.
