Ok.

Regarding the makefiles, I can modify them, but I've had trouble  
building with the result, so it would be wise to verify they are  
correct. At this point, I've been adding the new files manually after  
the build is complete.

I'll be beyond reach of the cvs for the day, so making an up to date  
patch will wait until this evening.
