Michael,

If you have the time, please review the last few posts to the thread  
"Statistics function incorrectly computing median"

I've posted a quantile function that may or may not be consistent with  
Matlab's.

I'd also like more feedback on the direction we're currently headed  
with calculating quantiles.

If you are familiar with the differences between Matlab and R, I'm  
particularly interested in that.
