octave 3.0.1 segfaults on clear all, or clear -all, or clear -a

Apparantly the asterisk went away on ftp but not ann.
When I gave the pkg rebuild -noauto ann command, it
went away on ann, too.  After that, I no longer get
the crash with clear all.
