Minor configure item and Fedora 9

I think that either of these would be an improvement, and probably good
enough.  My problem was that I spent time trying to figure out why Octave
could not find CHOLMOD, which was installed. So, if BLAS appears anywhere
in the message, I would have remembered that I had not yet installed it.

Thanks for worrying about this.  Just a simple change like the above should
be fine.
