Too large markers in plot

Hi.

After 3.0.0, the size of the markers in plot became vary large. Try, for 
example,

plot([0:20],sin([0:20]),'*')

Is this intentional? I'm using Mercurial archive, with gnuplot (both 4.2.0 
and 4.2.2).
