I get:

octave> spearman ([0 1 3 2 8 4 3 2 9]',[0 1 3 2 8 4 3 2 9]')
ans =  1

According to the help string, I should get the same with either of

spearman ([0 1 3 2 8 4 3 2 9],[0 1 3 2 8 4 3 2 9])
spearman ([0 1 3 2 8 4 3 2 9])
spearman ([0 1 3 2 8 4 3 2 9]')

But the first two give various errors, and the third one returns NaN.
