I would say that it is best to really get this "right,"  i.e. match 
expectations
of the "standard" behavior and make it work well in general.  If this
needs some more time, the current behavior is, for me, good enough.
It may be that pushing the current changeset would allow it to get some
useful testing.  Do what you think is best.
