problems to running octave

Good day,

I have recently installed Octave for Windows, and have run into a wall. 
Initially, when opening Octave, I received a prompt that Octave could not be supported by my system, and to search the options menu for the correct path.

Once trying this, and finding the Octave exe files from the options menu in Octave, I tried opening Octave again.  This time, however, Octave opened 6-12 new Octave windows, and received a prompt to kill the program or ignore, and run the rick of data corruption.

Please advise on anything that may be attemptable in order to seek resolution.
