Everything was fine with Octave while I was using Fedora 7. Suddenly,
when I got Fedora 8, some problems appeared. As soon as I initialize
Octave, I get the errors messages:

error: /usr/lib64/libnc-dap.so.3: undefined symbol: _ZN6Vector6lengthEv
error: evaluating argument list element number 2
error: near line 1 of file
`/usr/share/octave/site/m/octave-forge/octcdf/PKG_ADD'
error: source: error sourcing file
`/usr/share/octave/site/m/octave-forge/octcdf/PKG_ADD'
error: near line 9 of file `/usr/share/octave/2.9.9/m/startup/octaverc'

I have already tried to reinstall Octave; it didn't work. Also, when I
try to plot something with
plot([-2*pi:0.01:2*pi],sin([-2*pi:0.01:2*pi])), for example, I get the
errors messages:

error: `gnuplot_command_using' undefined near line 4 column 24
error: evaluating argument list element number 1
error: evaluating assignment expression near line 4, column 14
error: evaluating if command near line 3, column 3
error: called from `__make_using_clause__' in file
`/usr/share/octave/2.9.9/m/plot/__make_using_clause__.m'
error: evaluating assignment expression near line 104, column 13
error: evaluating if command near line 94, column 2
error: evaluating if command near line 93, column 7
error: evaluating while command near line 44, column 5
error: evaluating if command near line 34, column 3

`/usr/share/octave/2.9.9/m/plot/__plt__.m'
error: called from `plot' in file `/usr/share/octave/2.9.9/m/plot/plot.m'

I would really appreciate some help on this topic.

Regards,
Mário.
