Attaching lables to matrices

Not that I know of... This seems to be a frequently-requested feature.
R is more oriented towards statistical analysis (and probably
financial computations too) and does have this feature. Not sure if
you are willing to learn a new computing environment just to get
labels on your matrices, though.
