Hopefully this is my last message! I don't know how I managed to 
generate so many similar messages.

The documentation on the Trolltech site refers to the opensource as 
qt4.1.3 .
The gz file to be downloaded suitable for linux is ...
  qt-x11-opensource-src-4.3.3.tar.gz .

I shall now start installing qt4.3.3 .
