analogous of drawnow for the terminal ?

Hi,

I would like to display the parameters during a minimization done
with "minimize" (optim 1.0).

I can update the plot during each cycle using "drawnow"
but what I ask to be written with disp or printf is not printed out
until the terminal is available (i.e. crlt+c or at the end of the
minimization).
Is there a way to have an "online" display ?
