Commands for Completion

Hello all,

I am running Octave 3.0.0 on Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy .

Octave can't complete the names of commands and variables when I use <TAB>
keyboard.
And when I use <TAB> , Octave acted like I am using <ESPACE>.

Thanks if someone can help.


PS: New user Octave and which struggle to install OCTAVE 3 in Ubuntu 7.10
      Because  Octave 3 is not yet packaged, when I used Synaptic.
