Problem with Completion

Hello all,

I am running Octave 3.0.0 on Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy .

Octave can't complete the names of commands and variables when I use <TAB>
keyboard.
And when I use <TAB> , Octave acted like I am using <ESPACE>.

Even to recall the previous command <CRTL-P>  didn't work .
