expected failures in tests?

Hello,
I've just built octave 3.0.1. 
(Ubuntu Hardy 8.04, but gcc is 4.3, etc.)
After "make check" it has passed all the tests. Normally it is a good thing, right? But at the end of the test report, it says
"
There were 2 expected failures (see fntests.log for details).

Expected failures are known bugs. Please help improve
Octave by contributing fixes for them.
"
So, what's wrong? What could be the cause of this "unexpected success"? :)
