MLS code for bounty?

Thanks very much Sergei and Matthias-you have pointed me to some info
that may turn out to be extremely useful in other ways-though
unfortunately probably not in this context. These programs seem to
produce actual signal output, and I am not looking for signal generation
(my goal is to create acoustic treatments, i.e. actual physical panels),
rather a way of generating a much smaller finite number-a MLS that can
be mapped (via the Chinese Remainder Theorem) to a grid, in this first
case, of 49x30 or 1470 cells. I think this would mean I would need to
start with a MLS 1470 bits long... but am not sure of this as I don't
know how the Chinese Remainder theorem effects the situation-if it would
need a larger number to produce a grid that size, if it could use or
might need a smaller number to arrive at a 49x30 grid...
Are either of you at the University of Wisconsin? I notice the Octave
list is hosted there. Oddly, though I live and work in NYC, I am from
Madison, WI.
Best,
CDB
