Data acquisition in Octave

Thanks, Michael. I do intend to STFA however at the moment that I
asked that question (and another) I was in the middle of introducing
octave to an experienced lab technician and it was more important to
get the question out there. This evening I will google and see what I
can come up with. Thanks.
