3.0.3 Startup problem OS X 10.4.11, PPC

Hi, just installed octave.app. It's the sourceforge download of the ppc
version of 3.0.3. My mac is at 10.4.11. I get the following error in my
terminal screen when starting octave:

what's the fix?
