3.0.3 Startup problem OS X 10.4.11, PPC

I'll keep to an earlier version for my iBook. My iMacMini is 10.5 and intel,
so will use 3.0.3 on that one...
I don't use any of the advanced octave features, so the .m files are fully
compatible...
