mxCreateLogicalScalar problem

Hi there -

I'm trying to install a Matlab toolbox for Sundials (
https://computation.llnl.gov/casc/sundials/main.html) into Octave 3.0.1,
currently running OS X 10.5.4, but I'm running into a problem.  When I run
the script that installs the toolbox, I get this error message (several
times):

Undefined symbols:
  "_mxCreateLogicalScalar", referenced from:
      _mtlb_KINSpilsJac in kimWrap.o
ld: symbol(s) not found

I'm at a loss for why this is happening.  I've tried it on another system
(also Mac 10.5), and I run into the same problem.  Is this
mxCreateLogicalScalar implemented in Matlab but not in Octave?
