Octave + hspice

I've downloaded a toolbox to view hspice raw outputs developed for  
matlab and I'm trying o use it with octave.
I'm using osX 10.5 and when i try to compile (mex loadsig.c) I get an  
error that it can't fing mat.h
Any  help???
