Octave-3.2.0 builds correctly but fails check and run: pthread_mutexattr_init

Dear all,

I am experiencing difficulties with the shiny version of octave. It
compiles flawlessly as usual (configure, make). However, the make
check command gives the following result:

/usr/local/src/octave-3.2.0/src/octave: symbol lookup error:
/usr/local/src/octave-3.2.0/liboctave/liboctave.so: undefined symbol:
pthread_mutexattr_init

A forgotten call, may be, but I am not sure. Any idea of what's happening?
