OK.  I realized that if you are seeing spaugment, then you are not
using the release-3-0-x branch.  If you want to build the
release-3-0-x branch, then I think you need to do

  hg update -C release-3-0-x

Or, better yet, try the release candidate tar file that I posted on
the web.
