3.0.3 release candidate 2

Thanks to everyone for the build reports.
So, unless anyone objects, I'll rename the rc2 as stable and claim
3.0.3 to be released. For everyone's convenience, the 3.0.3 version
was (I hope) already tagged in the RCs (ChangeLogs and version.h), so
if you have already built packages from RC2, you can readily use them.
