Originally, I intended to just let everyone to grab the
mercurial-supplied tarballs from
http://hg.tw-math.de/release-3-0-x/archive/tip.tar.bz2
However, I can also build pre-release distribution tarballs if you (or
others) are interested. It's not much additional work. These differ, I
think, only by the fact that they come with the documentation already
built (so you don't need TeX and such stuff).
