octave.desktop missing.

Hi All,

 I have compiled on Jaunty  and tried to install which stopped  here:
 
 if test -n "desktop-file-install"; then \
       desktop-file-install --dir=/usr/local/share/applications \
         --vendor www.octave.org octave.desktop; \
     fi
 Error on file "octave.desktop": No such file or directory
 make[2]: [install] Error 1 (ignored)
 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/huszfer/octave-3.2.0/examples'
 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/huszfer/octave-3.2.0'
 
 is there anything I can do with it?

The issue can be at many places on the web w/o solution:

I found that tetex is needed to be installed.
I suggest to have a messege as such.
